Unfortunately, we couldn't throw a party this year for the school of Bejuco this past Christmas/End of Year. We had suggested and arranged a boat tour for the entire school, organized a discounted rate with friends that run one of the most popular Crocodile tours in the area (Don't worry, it's completely safe), and were prepared to pay for the transportation and tour. Sadly, it didn't work out this year due to some complications. We're hoping we can run with this idea next year though! Instead, EcoVida donated that money so that the lovely Kindergarten teacher would have funds to put together gift bags for the entire school. We donated out of EcoVida income rather than asking for donations this year, but that doesn't mean we won't be asking for school supply donations for "back to school" from all those who have donated in the past and those wishing to be a part of this cause to help our local kids. Here are a few pictures taken by Paola, the Kindergarten teacher and/or one of our fantastic local volunteers, Cheryl, at the Bejuco School this past December. Muchisimas gracias, Paola and Cheryl !!
