Need a Rental Car?

You can email us at and we will be happy to assist. If you book with our preferred car rental company a portion of your rental will go to helping the Bejuco School in our Giving Back Program. 

Guest Information:

Before your arrival, please send the following Guest Information to

1) Total number of guests (adults and children)

Each rental property has specific occupancy limits and rules of conduct which must be strictly enforced. The number of adults and minors that will occupy your rental home must be stated at the time of booking. No pets are permitted unless otherwise agreed upon prior to rental confirmation. Excessive occupants (exceeding limit), pets, rule violations or illegal activity, will result in eviction and the forfeiture of all funds and deposits made.

2) Full names of all guests (adults and children)

3) Passport or Cedula numbers of all adult guests

4) Flight information and estimated time of arrival: Please send us your flight information so we can check for delays and cancellations. We will also need to arrange an estimated time of arrival with you so we can ensure that there is someone here to meet you when you arrive.

Rental Payment:

Rental payment is due in cash on arrival. You may also pay with PayPal but this payment is due two days prior to arrival if using this payment method. Please let us know which you would prefer so we can arrange this for you. We do not accept checks (local or international), wire transfers, credit cards on arrival (credit cards can be used at PayPal only) or any other currency other than US Dollars or Costa Rican Colones.

Your deposit is separate from the rental amount and will be returned to you via PayPal after your departure once the property rented is cleaned and reviewed. All electrical charges (unless otherwise stipulated), extra cleaning needed after check-out and any damage will be deducted off your damage deposit.

Our prices and fees are quoted in U.S. dollars and will be charged either in US$ or in Costa Rican Colones at the exchange rate on the transaction date.

Costa Rican sales tax of 13% is due on all properties. No exceptions without tax exempt card issued by Costa Rican government.

Check-in & Check-out:

Check-in time is 2:00pm

Check-out time is 10:00am

Address and Directions: 

Address: EcoVida - Across from Condominio Costa del Sol, Playa Bejuco, Esterillos Este, Puntarenas.

If you are staying in one of our Costa del Sol houses, we charted and listed Costa del Sol on Google Maps including all roads.

The rental car agent is the best place to get directions to Jaco (sounds like “Haco”) since it will depend on which rental car agency you go to.
Tip: When you are on the highway you will go through 3-4 toll booths depending on the direction you take to highway 27, so make sure you have cash on hand. Small change is best as tolls range from 300-800 colones each. These toll amounts change frequently so these are just estimates. Keep your eyes open after the last toll booth because the turn off to Jaco is right after it. If you get to Caldera you have gone too far and will have to turn around.
To get to our cabinas or vacation homes, you will have to keep driving past Jaco about 20-30 minutes. Our beach is called Playa Bejuco. On the way from Jaco you will pass by Playa Hermosa, Playa Esterillos Oeste, Playa Esterillos Centro and Playa Esterillos Este. And then there is a sign for Playa Bejuco. If you hit Parrita, you have gone too far.
You will see some large commercial buildings on the left side of the highway and the emerging "Esterillos Town Center" with various restaurants and a supermarket (they are currently renovating some of these buildings). Just after these buildings there is a gravel road to the right with signs for Hotel Playa Bejuco (they just put in a big new sign with two large spotlights at night so you shouldn't miss it). Turn right on this gravel road. Go down a couple hundred meters on this road and you’ll see the development, Costa del Sol, on the left side and our EcoVida office on the right hand side. Our office is a large blue building made of recycled shipping containers.
Your check-in to the Costa del Sol houses will be coordinated by our property manager and they may arrange to meet you or place a lockbox on the house that contains the key. In this case, the guards at Costa del Sol will have a sealed envelope with the code to the lockbox that they will give you when you arrive, including the house number - if staying at one of the homes.
If you are staying in the EcoVida Green Cabinas, we will need to correspond with you ahead of time to give you the code and directions for entering the property.

Office Hours: Our office is open by appointment only. Guests staying in our cabinas are permitted to enter through the gate, but for security purposes, please do not attempt entry without a prior appointment. Thanks for your cooperation!

Office Location: Our office is located on the Bejuco road outside of Costa del Sol. It is directly across the street from the entrance from Costa del Sol. Once you turn off the highway go down 250 meters and it is located on the right hand side. It is a large blue building made out of recycled shipping containers and it has a sign that says “EcoVida”. We are listed on Google Maps.
